This stunning necklace is so Summery I am just in love with it! The juicy coloured stones, colourful jade, make such a statement at your neck with their lovely chunky size, faceted glint and stunning colour palette – you will find this piece will work with almost any outfit… Hand pierced from sheet sterling silver, the rose motif is so delicate and pretty…it’s wonderfully ornate and intricate shape really channelling an old English rose. The motif itself was inspired by a 19th Century Botanical Illustration. I have strung the beads on a beautiful minky taupe cord and knotted each bead for strength and security…finishing the necklace at the close with a stunning hand-made twist detailed sterling silver t-bar clasp. When I first saw these luscious green garnets they captured my imagination with their wonderfully punchy chartreuse/lime shade…I couldn’t wait to make them into a necklace! For the central motif, I fashioned a twist sterling silver oval cameo shape and adorned it with a hand pierced sterling silver rose leaf motif…I then oxidised these to a glossy gunmetal sheen and did the same with a second rose-leaf which hovers at the nape of the neck for added detail. Long and lovely, this necklace is a truly unusual and stunning statement piece – it works beautifully with summer dresses and camisoles but will look equally amazing layered with fall and winter knits! I have strung the entire necklace on lime green cord, knotting between each bead for security and fluidity of movement…the necklace goes straight over your head and does not have a clasp, so it is as easy to wear as it is to look at ;) The cameo measures across by approx 4cm...and the necklace hangs around mid-bust length...
